ucp_logo_taglineThe annual Case for Inclusion is a dynamic and important tool for understanding how Americans with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD) are faring in each state across the country. Each state is ranked on a set of key factors, such as access to support, independence and health, UCP is able to develop a comprehensive analysis of each state’s progress or failures in providing critical services to individuals living with disabilities. All 50 states and the District of Columbia are ranked, not on their Medicaid spending, but on the outcomes for people with ID/DD. This year’s report features in-depth analysis of the policy issues driving the rankings, and examines how the highest-ranking states achieved their success.

An interactive website allows for exploration of the data and comparisons between states. In addition to reviewing this year’s rankings and significant takeaways from the new data, the call will review the website features journalists and others can use to understand the rankings in more depth.
